John Michlig Sends This Kong 76 Update!

Howdy,

You can hate the film all you want, but the MUSIC was great.

The soundtrack to Dino DeLaurentiis's King Kong is now available at  http://filmscoremonthly.com/ and at various outlets around the world.  It's the first legal reissue of the original LP and sports much  better sound than an Italian bootleg on the "Mask" label from a few  years back. Also includes a nice 16pg booklet with film and music notes.

Direct Quote From A Kong Spy For KIK.

The right side of his face is all mangled and strange...Sweetlips really, really liked the design, said it looked savage and cool. Kong also has really large shoulders and really long arms. He emphasized REALLY long arms....which were very dynamic and cool. Again, he thought the design was excellent.

Joe DeVito Has Updated His Schedule And Seems To Be A Very Busy Man!

I'll be doing my last New York City book signing this Thursday, May 5, at B&N on the corner of 66th St and Broadway (near Lincoln Center), starting at 7PM. I'll be doing a slide show, will have a prototype of the new Cooper
Kong statue on display, and more.

This Saturday, starting at 2PM, I will be signing at the Borders Bookstore in Ramsey, NJ. This will be the last book signing I have scheduled.

Also, I'll be a guest on Kids Corner, WXPN 88.5FM out of Philly, this Wednesday evening, May 4th, from 7-8PM.

Last, a relatively early announcement for a major gallery exhibit of virtually all the original art from my book, KONG: King of Skull Island. It will be hosted by the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators in NYC. The reception is the evening of May 17th, from 5:30-8PM and all are invited.

That's about it. I hope to meet and talk with as many Kongaddicts as possible at one or more of these gatherings. For further details, please go to the 'News' section of either of my websites: www.kongskullisland.com or www.jdevito.com
